It is my great honour and a true privilege to once again be a part of ANZAC day in Wellington. While we still remain in our bubbles, the thoughts and hearts of millions of Turks, New Zealanders and Australians are in Gallipoli or at the National monuments, side-by-side, paying homage to our fallen ones, to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and to the unique friendship that we established following the tragedy of this war.

With the belief that the ANZAC spirit would inspire the much-needed global solidarity in these difficult days, I will stand at dawn as “We will remember them.”
