From 1979 to 1992, the Turkish Embassy in Canberra was accredited to New Zealand.

The Turkish Embassy in Wellington, which is the georgraphically farthest diplomatic mission of Türkiye, was inaugurated in January 1992.

The Embassy has been serving at 15 – 17 Murphy Street, Level 12, Thorndon, Wellington, in the close vicinity of the New Zealand Parliament and theBeehive.

In addition to New Zealand, the Embassy is accredited to the Republic of Fiji, the Independent State of Samoa,the Kingdom of Tonga, Cook Islands and Tuvalu.
