We condemn the attacks perpetrated at the facilities in Libya’s Oil Crescent by elements challenging the authority of the internationally recognized Presidency Council of Libya. We expect that these attacks immediately end.

These attacks not only endanger the security of the oil facilities, but also target the efforts of the Presidency Council, which has the sole authority to orderly re-operate the national oil facilities on behalf of Libya pursuant to the Libyan Political Agreement and relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. Thus, these attacks harm the efforts towards stabilizing Libya.

Turkey continues to support the Presidency Council of Libya resolutely.
