H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajcak, Minister of the Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of Slovakia representing the EU Presidency and an accompanying delegation will pay a visit to Turkey on 25 August 2016.

H.E. Mr. Miroslav Lajcak will pay a visit to the Turkish Parliament building, which was bombed during the foiled coup attempt and be received by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly H.E. İsmail Kahraman. The Guest Minister will also be received by Prime Minister H.E. Binali Yıldırım and hold bilateral talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiatior H.E. Ömer Çelik.

During the meetings, in addition to July 15 foiled coup attempt and developments in the aftermath, the parties will discuss the Turkey-EU relations, Turkey’s accession process, migration crisis as well as the current developments in regional and international affairs.
