H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will participate in the informal meeting to be held with the participation of Foreign Ministers of the EU member and candidate countries in Riga on 6-7 March 2015, upon the invitation of Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Edgars Rinkēvičs, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Latvia.

The informal meeting format in question, also known as "Gymnich Meetings", gives the opportunity to exchange views informally on foreign policy developments concerning the EU.

The participants are expected to exchange views on current regional and global developments during the above-mentioned meeting.
