Three days of national mourning has been declared starting 13 May 2014 after the tragic mining distaster in Soma, Manisa. We would like to extend our condolences to the bereaved and wish swift recovery to those wounded. We maintain our hope to receive word of positive results from the ongoing search and rescue effort.

A condolence book will remain open for signature at the Chancery until late Friday, 16 May 2014.
